Yoga Teacher Training & Cont.Ed Trainings

Selena Isles is the manifestation of a woman who has in 4 decades pushed the envelope of life, taken deep dives down many roads, leading her back to breath and acceptance.

Selena has built something rare and authentic with her practice and teachings, and a dedication to the pursuit of educational excellence, offering unparalleled student experiences across a broad spectrum of yoga academia, self realisation and experiential education. We offer workshops and trainings around the world and online. She has created an experience that looks at the whole person and not just the contortions made with the body. It is a return to how yoga was transmitted originally (teacher to student) with a slightly modern twist. Its steeped in tradition yet pushes the envelope towards evolution.

Her training curriculum combines detailed alignment and intelligent sequencing with Hatha / Vinyasa theory, and is designed and regularly updated by Selena Isles, who is recognized around the globe as a teacher’s teacher. We emphasize logical analysis, clear language, and critical thinking. She does not advocate one set of principles or one philosophy. Rather, her students are empowered to teach with confidence, because they possess the requisite educational tools to make strong teaching choices in light of their own individual objectives. She embodies critical thinking. Trainings are intimate, and she limits attendance purposely. The extensive, world-class online and in-person learning opportunities are designed to provide the most comprehensive learning experience possible

200 Hour Hatha Vinyasa Yoga In Depth Study/ Training

September 2020 – June 2021

Our 10-month, 200-hour teacher training in the vinyasa-based style that includes the Hatha school; blends a practical approach to yoga philosophy, history and mythology, with a strong emphasis on applying the teachings to a modern-day setting. Our training is steeped in looking in depth at the philosophy of yoga, the unique blue print of the self and its sister science Ayurveda, and goes beyond the approach of asana only based learning. We look at the roots of yoga, its evolution and its place in the modern world.

While exploring yoga postures and their variations, students will be immersed in the intricacies of self realization, pranayama, the bandhas, and meditation. The techniques and practices learned will be brought together when exploring how to demonstrate postures, sequence classes logically and fluidly, and adjust conscientiously.

We also look at extensive anatomy training and at the ethics associated with the responsibility of teaching, cultural understanding, trauma and social justice will have the participants leave the training with a deeper understanding of the yoga philosophy and teachings and feeling empowered and ready to teach with confidence, or go further in their quest for self realization.
