Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series – Mondays  19h30 – 21h00 @Béco Yoga

In this class I will deconstruct what the Ashtanga practice is, in particular Primary Series which focuses on forward folds, hip opening and building strength from the ground up, and introduce students to the basic Ashtanga principles and foundations of yoga asana. This is the classical Primary Series (Yoga Cikitsā) I lead using a unique approach I developed; whereby I teach alignment based focused instruction to synchronize the posture (Asana) with breath (Pranayama) and transition (Vinyasa) with precision, confidence and lightness. Open to ANYONE wanting to learn this ancient practice. The primary series is a rejuvenating sequence that takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete. The postures are strengthening, toning and cleansing for the muscles, joints and internal organs. The focus of the primary series is forward folds and hip opening, which calms the parasympathetic nervous system chilling you WAY out. During the primary led classes, you are guided in unison through the postures of the sequence and provided with variations of poses that prove challenging. The fun part is that the sequence never changes, providing consistency, focus and allowing students to experience almost all yoga asana they would encounter in other practices. The class includes standing, balancing, twists, forward folds and hip opening postures, breathing, pranayama and chanting. You will earn the basis for all yoga postures during this practice. Experienced Beginners – ALL levels welcome.

Mondays 12h00 – 13h00 @ Yoga Sangha

Tuesdays 17h10 – 18h10 @ Yoga Vibe Brossard ***Intermediate

Tuesdays 18h15 -19h15 @ Yoga Vibe Brossard *** ALL LEVELS

Wednesdays 16h30 – 17h30 @ Yoga Sangha

Vinyasa (or flow) style yoga with an emphasis on creativity and alignment. My classes are inventive and thoughtful sequences of sun salutations, standing & seated postures, back bending and inversions – guided by a steady breath to tone and calm the mind and enter the flow state. Warning: This class is highly addictive and may result in recurrent bouts of laughing and sparking joy.

Vinyasa Krama – Fridays 9:30 – 11am @Béco Yoga

Vinyasa Krama means “wise progression.” It refers to the ancient and time-tested principles of sequencing which are the foundation for the high art of truly skilled, compelling and powerful practices. Vinyasa Krama means a step by step progression into something, or to a certain goal. A goal, in this case, being a complex or advanced asana (posture). Vinyasa – which is the principle of synchronising movement with the breath and Krama – which literally means steps or stages With Vinyasa Krama you build onto something or grow into something, working methodically from simple to more complex poses. I prepare the body within certain poses to move into the more advanced or complex “peak pose”. We explore, asana, alignment, breath, body, kriya, and meditation in this practice. This is not a FAST paced class, explorations are slow and done mindfully to prepare each student for the next step. That said, this class is not designed for beginners; some previous experience is recommended.

Yoga Therapeutics & Alignment

A vigorous 75 minute class, this class is a straight up shot of all the good stuff, Therapeutics classes revolutionize your practice as I deconstruct the postures to really have you “pay attention” to whats moving.  You will move, breathe, and sweat — community style. This mashup of asana, pranayama, and nada yoga is radically fresh vinyasaless vinyasa krama. Complimented with Yoga Tune Up® deep tissue massage assists in releasing pain, opening locked muscles, facilitating proper posture and quality sleep. This class is the perfect complement to asana. ALL LEVELS may induce drooling.

Can’t wait to see you on your mats!
